  4. Ch'ing Dynasty (A.D. 1644-

  6. Length        12.1cm
  7.        This   belt   buckle 
  8. consists of two oval clasps,
  9. the one inlaid with a ruby 
  10. having a hook shaped like a
  11. dragon's head, while the one
  12. inlaid with a sapphire has
  13. a ring to fit over it. The
  14. underside  incorporates  a 
  15. pin. Each gemstone setting
  16. is decorated with a pattern
  17. of linked pearl motifs and
  18. cloud motifs, with a floral
  19. pattern etched into the side.
